We are pleased to announce the Workshop on Public Economics and Economic Freedom with participation of Cato scholars. The Cato Institute was founded in 1977 by Edward H. Crane. It is a non-profit public policy research foundation headquartered in Washington, D.C. The Institute is named after Cato's Letters, a series of libertarian pamphlets that helped lay down the philosophical foundation for the American Revolution. The workshop will present advanced topics from tax reform, supply-side tax policy, flat tax, international tax competition, economic freedom, corruption, economic transformation in CEE and dangers of EU membership. The workshop is free to all participants.
