Virtual Scientific Laboratories, Faculty of National Economy, University of Economics in Bratislava in collaboration with J. W. Fulbright Commission and Tatra Banka Foundation are pleased to announce a workshop on the experimental economics, which will be conducted by prof. Bart J. Wilson. Experimental economics is becoming increasingly prevalent and there are now substantial data that support the effectiveness of this addition to research and pedagogic methods.

Prof. Wilson’s broad fields of specialty are industrial organization and experimental economics. Dr. Wilson is part of a team, lead by Nobel Laureate Vernon Smith, that will create and run the new Economic Science Institute at Chapman.

The workshop will provide instructor with hands-on guidance on how to use software and other resources of experimental economics. The workshop will present software that was developed by prof. Bart Wilson and his colleagues. The software covers the applications of his research programs apply the experimental method to topics in gasoline markets, e-commerce, electric power deregulation, antitrust, and auctions.
